Nourishment is one of the 5 pillars of postpartum care. The food and drink we consume postpartum are the building blocks restoring our blood, healing our womb, supporting lactation, soothing our nervous system, & providing energy. By focusing on nutritionally rich meals that are warm & easy to digest we are showing up for ourselves physically, mentally, & emotionally and bringing our system back into balance.
Birth is ceremony. Our passage from womb to world deserves reverence and intention from all who are present; just as we honor coming of age, marriage, graduations, milestones, and end of life. The gentle and conscious welcoming of a new soul is the start of it all.
